Original Paintings

Anita's originals are gouache (pronounced "go-wash") paintings on heavyweight 100% cotton paper. Gouache is an opaque form of watercolor paint that is made from natural pigments set in an emulsion of tree sap. It is a material of the utmost longevity, as gouache paintings from the early Egyptians dynasties have been recovered in original condition. The intensity of color, the texture, the depth and impact of these original paintings cannot be matched by any reproduction, either giclee or lithograph, and thus are very highly prized by collectors. Every original painting comes with a personalized Certificate of Authenticity, signed and dated by the artist.
